Weight Loss Challenge
Hi There,
Apologies for no updates for the last few days, had a busy week going on. Kids stuff here and there, work, family, a very time consuming week.
But, on top of all this business, I finished week one of my weight loss life change. So how did I go? Again, it was great. I lost about a kilo (2 pounds), and that's pretty much through the dietary changes, not a huge amount of exercise this week. But for me, this isn't just about losing weight, it's about a lifestyle change and ensuring that I am around to be with my kids, and have enough energy to do the fun stuff with them (and let me tell you, with the 2 boys I have, I am going to need all the energy I can get).
So where was I, oh yeah, a kilo lost. That's just the start. The main thing for me this week is that I feel SO much better about myself. Eating great food throughout the day, I already seem to have so much more energy. I noticed that I walk with my head up a little more, more confident about myself, knowing that I am doing my body some good for once. Funnily enough, one of the things I enjoyed the most this week was doing the grocery shopping. Going through the FRESH food aisle, picking out my fruit and veg, choosing my organic cuts of meet, and only heading into the packaged food aisles for staples like bread, spices, etc. And heading to the checkout knowing that I was pulling out all the fresh food, knowing that people weren't laughing at my fatness as I loaded pies, chips and softdrinks onto the checkout belt like I used to.
So in a nutshell, this program is so much easier than you expect it to be. You still get to eat lots of great food, you feel better about yourself almost instantly, and you get to lose weight. I'll be back shortly with more updates, until then, I hope you are motivated enough to check this out.
